SKYDATA Adds New Products From Quantum Corporation’s Storage
Solution Group.

SKYDATA Corporation today released the latest addition to Quantum’s
ATL Library family products. As a follow-on to the popular M1500
modular tape library, the two companies announced the new M2500.
The ATL M2500 automated tape library is designed for companies
that are seeing the ability to scale their tape backup solution
as their needs change while maximizing their total backup investment.
Whatever the size of the organization, its modular design allows
for easy upgrades, reliable data backup and highly available data
protection where and when it's needed. With a maximum capacity of
up to 300 tape cartridges yielding a 48TB capacity, the M2500 offers
the greatest density per cubic foot in its class.
Also new to SKYDATA are the Snap Server and new Guardian series
of NAS devices from Quantum. For workgroups or departments that
are experiencing rapid data growth, you can deploy enough file sharing
capacity to satisfy 150 users—in just five minutes with Quantum’s
Snap server. For a fraction of the cost of complex Win2000/NT server,
a Snap Server 4100 quickly and easily provides up to 480 GB in just
1U of space. Quantum’s Guardian servers provide enterprise-class
performance, reliability and scalability. Featuring cross-platform
file sharing, seamless integration with popular management tools,
extensive backup software support, hardware redundancy and advanced
capabilities such as data replication and aggregation, Guardian
