RAIDSTAR
FC2 is family of modular and scalable RAID Arrays supporting a broad
range of RAID levels, 10,000 and 15,000 RPM disk drives and the
power of the fibre channel interface. Constructed with an extruded
magnesium frame, the RAIDSTAR FC2 offers high performance and data
availability along with extraordinary durability. With up to 4 FC
host/SAN port connections yielding up to 800MB/sec cumulative bandwidth,
RAIDSTAR FC2 provides extraordinary performance capabilities.
The product family is based upon a 19" rack-mountable, fourteen
disk, FC-AL disk subsystem incorporating one or two RAID controllers.
Hot pluggable and redundant power supplies, cooling units, loop
resiliency circuits and disk drive carriers further enhance data
availability. When two array controllers are installed, they provide
for a hot swappable, dual active failover and cache coherent performance
as well. RAIDSTAR
FC represents a truly "Best of Breed" design.
SKYDATA provides drive capacities of 18.2, 36.4, 73.4 and 146Gb.
Additional RAIDSTAR FC2 expansion or JBOD units can be added to
the base configuration in order to increase the total capacity up
to 112 drives.
