Products :: Tape Subsystems :: SKYDLT

DLTtape has become the de facto standard for server and workstation
backup and SKYDATA's SKYDLT family of drives and autoloaders has
become Canada's choice for DLTtape implementation. With single-drive
capacities as high as 600.0GB* and transfer rates up to 72.0MB/sec*,
the SKYDLT offers unparalleled features for today's mid-range systems,
network servers and high-end workstations.
These 1/2" cartridge streaming tape drives incorporate advanced
features like a highly accurate tape guide system, an adaptive control
mechanism, easily upgradeable firmware and extensive embedded diagnostic/self-test
software. The SKYDLT design also incorporates a tape mark directory
to reduce data access time.
SKYDLT solutions are available for many popular network and workstation
operating environments. Interface options include Fast SCSI-2 or
Fast/Wide SCSI-2 single-ended and differential versions. The SKYDLT
8000 utilizes an LVD interface. The SKYDLT S320 and the new SKYDLT
S600 utilize the LVD and HVD Ultra 2 SCSI interface. Units are available
in table-top or 19" rack mount configurations.
