SUN offers Sun Education experts to assist you in determining the best Sun Education solutions for your company and for your customers.

SUN EDUCATIONAL ACCOUNT (EA-000-CP) & SKILLS PACKAGES
Customers are demanding “Total Solutions” for their technology needs. Aligning the appropriate training with your Sun hardware and software is a critical step toward building total technology solutions. Skills Packages from Sun can help IT professionals quickly acquire the knowledge they need to accelerate the performance of Sun systems. Skills Packages are one-year pre-paid, customized training solutions designed as an easy way for you to include training as part of your hardware solution. They let you set aside money up front for training that aligns with your technology purchase. An education account is set up for the development and delivery of training solutions.

An EA-000 allows the customer to set aside money for training the following year. Once the company opens the account, any individual in the company can use the funds. This is particularly effective for the budgeting process. As an added benefit, the purchase of a Skills Package entitles you to receive a 5% discount on training services.

SUN CORPORATE LEARNING PASSES
The Sun Corporate Learning Pass are all-in-one solutions offering versatility to allow your employees to select a training time frame and delivery method that accommodates their schedules with just one payment to manage. There are several types of learning passes including 6 month or year long options. One company membership permits the customer to receive training courses, technical learning profiles (TPL), and certification vouchers to be used by one company employee or spread out amongst four to eight employees - your choice. The TPLs identify skill gaps within an IT organization. The program gives you the ability to budget first and focus on the details later.

SUN LEARNING CENTER
Sun Learning Center (SLC) delivers a broad range of content through eContent via a hosted learning solution, simplifying the delivery of training. There are over 1,500 courses available through SLC.

CONSULTING SERVICES
The first step towards improving the end-user employees’ knowledge base is a current evaluation or Gap Analysis. SUN Skills Analysis and Skills Assessments services are designed to help IT Organizations identify training needs for individuals and for the organization. The result of these programs is a set of reports that outline individual skill gaps, individual training development plans, and training for your company’s team.

(Customer must have equipment available for training. Sun needs four weeks lead-time. Maximum of 16 students per class).

THE SUN COMPETENCY PROGRAM
The Sun Competency Program is a strategically designed training and certification program for Sun Partners. The program is designed specifically for solution providers, providing them with the technical skills, product knowledge, and solution-selling resources that are critical to be a successful Sun Partner.

There are two baseline certification types: Foundation and Premier. Foundation certification allows an individual or company to sell and support LINUX/x86 hardware products up to and including 4-way SPARC and associated storage, sell and refer Sun services, and sell all Sun software products.

Premier certification allows an individual or company to sell and support all hardware products up to and including the 6900 and associated storage, sell and refer Sun services, and sell all software products.

In addition to achieving Foundation or Premier status, you can become a Strategic Data Center Elite, Software Elite, or StorageTek Elite. Each of these programs provides additional benefits to being a Sun iForce Partner.

There are specialty certifications available to iForce Partners. Data Center Allows partners that meet the requirements to sell the SE 9900 and F20 &25K Products Help Desk A partner that qualifies for the Systems Support Help Desk specialty can leverage the Sun technical support for back-line support and offer one-stop support service to its customers. StorageTek Specialty Allows partners that meet the requirements to see the SE9900 products
